CCIB Faculty Member Dr. Angélica L. González (Biology) was the first author on the August 2018 cover article for the journal Functional Ecology, a highly-ranked Ecology journal. The paper “Ecological mechanisms and phylogeny shape invertebrate stoichiometry: A test using detritus?based communities across Central and South America” was also authored by CCIB Postdoc Olivier Dézerald in the González lab.
This paper was highlighted in Functional Ecology Spotlights. FE Spotlights are short invited commentaries on papers of exceptional quality and significant novelty. They are commissioned when both the handling and senior editor think a paper is in the top 5% of papers they publish, and that the work should be highlighted and put into context. Congratulations!
