The CCIB would like to congratulate Dr. Kwangwon Lee and the rest of the RU-C Driving Change team for being awarded the very prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Award. These awards are given to educational institutions that was committed building an equitable and inclusive environment within STEM programs for their students. The Rutgers University – Camden Driving Change Initiative is a team of Faculty, Students, and Staff at Rutgers Camden and their goal is to create a lasting cultural change on the Rutgers – Camden campus so that undergraduate STEM student of all backgrounds can excel in college and be prepared for graduate programs and leadership roles in the future. The group focuses on breaking down barriers for underrepresented students and to seek out long-term solutions for these problems.
