Joseph MartinDr. Joseph Martin, Professor of Biology and the Director of the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology, has been selected to receive the JoAnn Mower Endowed Prize in Teaching Excellence, in honor of Marie Cornelia, Christine Dougherty, and Robert Ryan.  This award recognizes a faculty member for excellence in teaching and service to students.

Dr. Martin has taught at Rutgers-Camden since 1989.  He served as the chair of the Department of Biology for five years, and was Acting Director of the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology (CCIB) from 2007-2009.   In 2012, Dr. Martin assumed the role of Director of the CCIB.  Dr. Martin’s field of interest is neuroscience.

Dr. Martin will receive his award during the inaugural campus-wide Commencement and Honors Convocation on Wednesday, May 21st, at 3 p.m.
